The City Cube is not just a sales office; it is a representation of the spirit of real estate - innovation, breakthrough, and fun. It is a testament to the pursuit of a better life, reflected in the diversity of its design. The project is located in Zhang Jia Gang, Suzhou, Jiang Su Province, China, and was completed in 2018.
What sets the City Cube apart is its unique use of the Rubik's cube as the main axis of the design. This not only reflects the architectural characteristics of the stacked villas but also transforms the architectural design into the vocabulary of interior design. The result is a space that is as dynamic and multifaceted as the city it represents.
Modern installation art plays a significant role in the design of the City Cube. The size of the metal blocks, the splicing of heterogeneous materials, and the creation of an embellishment similar to mosaic art, all contribute to the overall aesthetic of the space. The design extends from the wall, achieving the ultimate performance on large art lamps, and transforming the sales office into a space shared by future communities.
The design process was not without its challenges. The unique architectural structure of the project had to be transformed into the main inspiration of the interior design. Through a large number of modular stacking, heterogeneous material splicing, and overlapping multi-level design techniques, the main spirit of the whole building was reflected in the sales office. The building and the interior were harmoniously and perfectly merged, turning structure into art form, and integrating art form into interior design.
The City Cube is more than just a design; it is a testament to the power of innovation and the possibilities of modern architecture. It is a space that embodies the spirit of the city, and a design that is as dynamic and multifaceted as the life it represents. The City Cube was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019, a testament to its outstanding design and innovative concept.
